Drupal, instruktioner för redaktörer

Doctoral studies

This manual is no longer in use. Instead, you can find guidelines and instructions for working on gu.se, the Student Portal, and the Hotel Portal in Redaktörsmanual Drupal.

On the new website, doctoral studies will be placed under a separate menu link directly under www.gu.se. Since the structure of the menu links is common to all faculties and departments, this means that faculties and departments will also see a menu link for doctoral studies on their web spaces.

These separate menu links make it easier for visitors interested in this information to find it. We can also better highlight doctoral studies and create a good foundation for working with recruitment information aimed at prospective doctoral students. The entry page for doctoral studies will be a rich page on the shared website as well as on faculty and department web spaces.

Doctoral studies via shared entry page www.gu.se/forskarutbildning

The content of the shared entry page for doctoral studies will contain content about current events concerning the entire university and answer general questions about entry requirements, admission, doctoral studies, graduate schools, degree of doctor, licentiate thesis, careers, etc.

Doctoral studies under the web space entry page

The content on the faculty or department web space shall complement the content found on the shared pages. This local information can include, for example, how often doctoral students are admitted, who the supervisors are, how you work with seminars, and networks at the department.

Avoid duplicating existing content. Instead, link to the shared pages for general questions, or the faculty’s pages for all that is common to the faculty.

It is important to remember that the information about doctoral studies on our external website is aimed at prospective doctoral students. The primary purpose of the information on the external website is to recruit doctoral students to the University of Gothenburg. Information aimed at existing doctoral students should be published in the staff portal. Naturally, you can add a link to/promo for the staff portal on the external website.

Third-cycle courses

Third-cycle courses will continue to be presented in FUBAS. In other words, courses for doctoral studies will not be added to the PIM system used for first and second-cycle studies. You can add promos to your web space for your department’s/faculty’s courses in FUBAS.
