Below is a description of the data on your POP page.

 More about your POP page ...

All employees at the university have a profile page in POP that contains contact information and other data. Some of the information is generated automatically from various source systems. Other information you can add and update yourself.

The source systems that generate information to POP are Primula, CMG/phone, Aida (GU account), the Organization database (OrgDB) and the University's publication database (GUP).

How do I find my personal page?

When you log in to POP, you are automatically directed to your personal page.

What’s on my personal page in POP?

  1. At the top center, the name of the organisation to which your “primary” affiliation is linked (the affiliations can be found under (8) in the image).

  2. Below the organisation name, information about whether you are classified (in POP) as an employee or non-employee.

  3. If there is a photo of you in POP, it is displayed here.

  4. You can manage the photo from your personal page in POP.

  5. If your résumé has been uploaded to POP, you see it here.

  6. Your publications in GUP (University of Gothenburg Publications database) are listed under the heading Publications.

  7. Various personal data:

    • First name and last name

    • The box Is of protection shows if there is a threat that means that your personal information should have extra protection. If the box is checked, no information about you will appear on the university's website.

    • Social security number, this is not published on the university's website.

    • Account name is your x-account and is retrieved from the IT-system Aida (Gukonto).

    • Citizenship, optional information regarding which country or countries you have citizenship in. This is only used to track the university’s level of internationalization.

  8. Under Cover letter, you can enter a presentation of your current work and can also include previous work experience. Under the same tab there is also Competence, where you can enter different competence areas. Note that this information is not currently displayed on the web.

  9. Information about your external research profiles or other relevant websites, is displayed under External Web pages and Profiles. Note that this information is not currently displayed on the web.

  10. Information about when your personal information in POP has been changed and created, is displayed under the personal description.

  11. Affiliations show the positions, employments and assignments you have within the university. Most have only one affiliation while others may have several. You can choose if you want to display Active, Expired and / or Future affiliations.

  12. At the bottom of the page are several fields where you can enter information about your Academic merits and and activities.

The following information is available about your affiliations

Affiliations show what jobs and assignments you have within the university.

  1. Affiliation name, eg the title of your employment, from Primula.

  2. Organisation, to which the affiliation is linked.

  3. If there is a job description for the affiliation, it is displayed here. The job description is currently not displayed on the web.

  4. Validity period for that particular affiliation, from date and to date.

  5. If you have several affiliations, you can choose which affiliation should be the primary one.

  6. Visible on the web? must be checked if the affiliation is to be displayed on gu.se.

  7. If there are phone numbers (work phone, mobile number or fax number) associated to your affiliation in the IT-system “Telefoni/CMG”, they are displayed here.

  8. The e-mail address that is set to be displayed on gu.se.

  9. Information about which visiting address and room number applies to the affiliation.

  10. Information about which postal address applies to the affiliation.

  11. At the bottom of each affiliation, you see information about when this was created and last changed.
