Description

In Drupal you can only upload PDF documents. Be sure to only upload accessible PDFs so that everyone can make use of the information shared by the university. If this isn’t possible, then it’s important to make the content accessible in some other way. For example, you can copy the content of a PDF and publish it directly as a web page.
Documents can be uploaded to the content types “News article” and “Research portrait/article”. You can also upload PDFs via the Layout tab and the “Information” section. This section includes a component called “Document”.

Do as follows:

  1. To upload and manage documents, click the “Content” link in the top left.

  2. Click the “Document library” tab.

  3. Click the “+ Add document” button to add a new document.

  4. You can also choose to search existing documents in the “Search” field by filtering the document names with the “Filter” button. The result can be filtered by “Title” and “Updated”.

  5. Title
Enter the document name in the “Title” field (required).
  6. File
Click “Browse…” in the “File” field to upload your document file and select it (required). You can only select one file at a time to upload. The maximum file size is 50 MB and the permitted file type is PDF.
  7. Summary
Enter a short description of the document content in the “Summary” field. By describing the document content, we enable visitors to decide whether it’s worth downloading.
  8. Cover image
Click the “Browse” link in the “Cover image” field to upload an image of the document. Feel free to take a screenshot of the front page of the document and then upload it as an image.

  9. Save
Click the blue “Save” button to add the image to the media library.

  10. Exit by clicking the “Save” button to save the document.
  11. You can always go back later and edit or delete the document.
